Timson Tiekam Babila alias Jeremy who was nabbed with fake US dollars amounting to $2.5 million which is in the equivalent of Ksh283.5 million has been charged at Milimani Law Courts
The man appeared before magistrate Bernard Ochoi and denied the charges of being in possession of forgery papers.
Tiekam is said to have committed the offense on January 12,2022 at AthiRiver in Machakos without lawful authority jointly with others not before the court.
He is said to be having in his possession of pieces of papers f 100 denomination equivalent to USD2.5 million intended to resemble and pass as US Dollars notes.
The Cameroonian national was arrested by the DCI detectives from the Economic and Commercial Crimes Unit (ECCU) on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 and was charged in court on Friday, January 14.
He pleaded not guilty and was released on a Ksh10 million bond without an alternative of cash bail.
