3 police officers linked to the mysterious escape of serial child killer Masten Wanjala released on bail.

Three police officers linked to the mysterious escape of serial child killer Masten Wanjala has been released on Sh 100,000 cash as investigations continues for the next seven days.

The three Philip Mbithi, Kamakis Mutuma and Precious Mwende who were on duty at Jogoo Road Police Station on the day Wanjala escaped from his cell have also been ordered to appear before the Investigation Officer for seven days.

They are being represented by lawyer Danstan Omari.

Magistrate Jane Kamau said that after the seven days lapsed, the prosecution should either charge or acquit them.

The officers had been presented to the court yesterday afternoon under a miscellaneous application where police had requested to hold the suspects for 14 days but were directed to appear in court today for the ruling of that case.
